"What if you’d been living your life as if you were dying—only to find out that you had your whole future ahead of you?

When sixteen-year-old Alice is diagnosed with leukemia, her prognosis is grim. To maximize the time she does have, she vows to spend her final months righting wrongs—however she sees fit. She convinces her friend Harvey, whom she knows has always had feelings for her, to help her with a crazy bucket list that’s as much about revenge (humiliating her ex-boyfriend and getting back at her arch nemesis) as it is about hope (doing something unexpectedly kind for a stranger and reliving some childhood memories). But just when Alice’s scores are settled, she goes into remission.

Now Alice is forced to face the consequences of all that she’s said and done, as well as her true feelings for Harvey. But has she done irreparable damage to the people around her, and to the one person who matters most? "

Because this year I am finally going to venture out of my comfort zone and read more contemporary books.

This one sounds emotional and promising.

What is your Waiting On Wednesday pick this week?

  1. I kind of had issues with this book but I can't wait to see what you think of it. But yeah for contemporary! That's mostly what I read :)

    1. Yeah, so far it seems to be a hit or a miss with people. But I am still curious. And I've already claimed it as part of my read more YA contemporary books goal, so cannot back out now. :)

  2. I'm sad to hear this one has been getting mixed reviews, especially because I know the author pretty well. But I am excited to read it! Great pick :)

    1. Me too. This one was one my top contemporary picks I was looking forward to. But I'm still going to read it, so fingers crossed.

      Thank you for stopping by.
