"Welcome to New Vegas, a city once covered in bling, now blanketed in ice. Like much of the destroyed planet, the place knows only one temperature—freezing. But some things never change. The diamond in the ice desert is still a 24-hour hedonistic playground and nothing keeps the crowds away from the casino floors, never mind the rumors about sinister sorcery in its shadows.

At the heart of this city is Natasha Kestal, a young blackjack dealer looking for a way out. Like many, she's heard of a mythical land simply called “the Blue.” They say it’s a paradise, where the sun still shines and the waters are turquoise. More importantly, it’s a place where Nat won’t be persecuted, even if her darkest secret comes to light.

But passage to the Blue is treacherous, if not impossible, and her only shot is to bet on a ragtag crew of mercenaries led by a cocky runner named Ryan Wesson to take her there. Danger and deceit await on every corner, even as Nat and Wes find themselves inexorably drawn to each other. But can true love survive the lies? Fiery hearts collide in this fantastic tale of the evil men do and the awesome power within us all."

The answer is simple: Book Club.

So, I'd like to take a moment to tell you a few stories to introduce the ladies from my book club. I'll start with reintroducing myself first...

Gotta Read Them All (Top Ten Tuesday #53)

Tuesday, September 16, 2014

Paper Bindings - Gotta Read Them All (Top Ten Tuesday #53)
A weekly book meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's theme is the Top Ten Four Authors I've Only Read One Book From But NEED to read more.

This is a hard list for me to come up with. If I read a book by an author and love that book, a lot of times I immediately run out and read more by that author. Now if you'd have said only read two-three from, then I'd have a lot more to play with. Then there are the ones whom I've read all their published works in a matter of days.

But there are a few I can think of that fit this theme.

Paper Bindings | A Bit of Dust is Inevitable

Part of being a book blogger is being flexible, adapting, changing with the times.

If something works, keep it; if not, it's time to go. With that in mind, I've been doing a lot of thinking about my blog. A lot of thinking, for a long while now.

I know being a book blogger isn't about how many hits you get or all the times people comment on your posts. It's about being yourself and expressing your love of books, even when you have to explain why a book didn't grab your attention. It's about making friends and meeting new people. It's about supporting the authors you love and finding new books to cherish.
